Cross Road currently is helping to support Mark and Nancy Ann Wilt in Papua New Guinea. Mark and Nancy Ann serve with Pioneer Bible Translators, a ministry that is working to translate and publish the New Testament in languages where it does not already exist.
Other Missions Work
Cross Road also supports "His Days Of Grace", a non-profit organization that trains church leaders in Cuba and also in several different nations on the continent of Africa.
We also do local homeless ministry (the delivery of blankets, clothes, food, etc.)and have worked in conjunction with World Impact Dallas doing missions work with inner-city children and foreign refugees.
Feeding the Hungry
Cross Road holds an annual canned food drive to benefit the McKinney Food Pantry, and our church also works to provide food, clothing, and bedding for the homeless of the Dallas area.
Local Evangelism
At Cross Road, we see each visitor as a gift from God. We want to show the love of Christ to each one and demonstrate the gospel. Our desire to help each visitor discover where God wants them to be.
We also want to obey the Lord's command to be about the work of evangelism. God has given His Church the calling of spreading the gospel. At Cross Road, we are careful to use tracts that present the whole gospel message and pass these out in local neighborhoods. We also encourage our members to reach out to friends and family with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Church Planting
Cross Road's long term vision is to plant other churches. We have already been giving toward local and international church planting, but our hope is to one day send a group out from our church to begin a new church here in the McKinney area.
