***This is our consistent weekly schedule: On Sundays, classes for all ages begin at 9:00 am. The High School / Young Adult class (Common Ground), the Middle School class (Living Hope) and our 3rd-5th grade class (Kingdom Kids) will meet in Tomlinson Hall, and the Kindergarten through 2nd grade class (Sonshine Kids) meets in the portable building. The Adult class, the 3 year old through pre-K class (Bright Beginnings), and nursery meet in the Main building. Worship is at 10:00 am. There is a Young Women's Bible Study that meets Sundays at 4:00pm, the Ladies' Bible Study that meets Mondays at 7pm, and the Men's Bible Study that meets Wednesdays at 7:30pm. All three of these Bible Studies meet in Tomlinson Hall. ***

YOUTH NEWS

Wow! It's hard to believe that we are already past Spring Break and moving toward the Summer months. There's a lot to be done this Summer for our youth and families at Cross Road. Here is a sample of what is coming up, for anyone who is interested in attending or supporting our Youth and Family Ministry:

1) June 15-20th High School Church Camp

2) June 22-27th Middle School Church Camp

Church camp will be at Christian Camp of the Living Word in Point, TX. The cost for campers for the week, Sunday afternoon through Friday morning, is $145. This covers meals, lodging, and activities. For more info on the camp, check out www.cclw-texas.org.

3) June 29-July 2nd Mission Mckinney

Mission Mckinney is a day camp (fronted by First Baptist Mckinney and attended by many local congregations) that uses students and parents as volunteers to help those in need. Typically activities include painting and cleaning projects to assist the elderly. The cost is only $20. For details, see www.youthquakerocks.com/missionmckinney.htm.

4) July 30-August 3rd C.A.M. (Community Action Ministries) camp

C.A.M. is a local ministry to Norman, OK. Our church was involved with them last year doing volunteer work in some of the benevolent organizations in and around the Oklahoma City area. The youth who attended had very positive things to say! The cost for the week is a voluntary donation of $50, which basically covers food and transportation costs. Also, Sunday, May 18th at 4:30 p.m. until 6:00, we will have a Parent and Youth Sponsor Meeting in the portable building. This is a very important meeting, as much of the events for the rest of this year will be discussed. Mark would also like to share Cross Road's vision for its Youth and Family Ministry, and would like to get your input! Please come if you can make it!

Sunday, May 25th is our Teacher Appreciation Banquet, which will take place after services. All of you nursery workers and you who teach in our congregation are encouraged to come (bring your spouses) and be served by our eldership as a token our appreciation in recognition of your service to us over the years. We will also have a time for discussion on how this past year went and what you'd like to see for the upcoming year. Please don't miss out!

Sunday, June 1st we are having our promotion Sunday, so all of our youth and children will be graduating up to the next grade (and Sunday School class if applicable).

Finally, Sunday, June 1st will also be our "Go Fly a Kite" Picnic lunch at Erwin Park here in Mckinney. Bring a picnic lunch, a frisbee or your baseball, and a KITE. Again, if case you need a map, here's a link: Erwin Park
